Government of Pakistan has announced jobs in Intelligence Bureau (IB) Pakistan. Advertisement for vacancies has been published in Daily Newspapers on Sunday 08-March-2015 under the title of Situations Vacant in Federal Government Organization. Government has authorized National Testing Service (NTS) to carry out initial screening / written test to ensure transparency, impartiality & merit.

Intelligence Bureau (IB) Pakistan intends to recruit personnel for about 816 vacant posts. These include Stenotypists / Stenographers, Data Entry Operators (DEO), Official Management (OM), General Duty (GD), Electronics Technicians (Tech), Dark Room Assistants, Laboratory Assistant, Vehicle Mechanic, Auto Electricians, Staff Car Drivers, Bahishti and Cook. IB plans to observe women / female, minorities / Non-Muslims quota for these positions. Age limit for applicants is between 18 to 25 years. The eligibility criteria as announced officially will be Intermediate for Stenotypist with minimum shorthand speed of 80 and typing speed of 40 wpm. For Data Entry Operator (DEO) candidates should have Bachelor's Degree / BA / B.Sc. in Physics / Mathematics / Statistics / Economics with minimum typing speed of 40 wpm.

Intelligence Bureau (IB) Pakistan advertised 195 posts of Official Management (OM) in which 31 will be BPS-09 with requirements of intermediate pass. For 164 vacancies of OM (BPS-05) requirements is Matric pass. Typing speed for OM post is 30 wpm.

There are about 132 vacancies for General Duty (GD) BPS-9 and 215 posts for GD (BPS-05) in Intelligence Bureau. GD are field positions and criteria is somewhat same as of Police Constables or Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI). For General Duty (BPS-09) required education is Intermediate & for GD (BPS-05) it is Matriculation. In physical standards height for males is 5’-7” & in case of Sindh, Gilgit-Baltistan, FATA height of 5 feet 6 inches is required. For females prescribed height is 5 feet 2 inches. Chest measurement should be 32-33 ½ and 31-32 ½. In running test males have to run 1.6 km / 1 mile in 8 minutes and female have to run 1.6 km in 10 minutes. Candidates of Gilgit-Baltistan, FATA & Sindh have to run 1.6 km in 9 minutes.

For the post of Dark Room Assistant and Lab Assistant the candidate should be intermediate / FA / F.Sc. passed. Experience certificate in Adobe Photoshop and knowledge of digital photography, still and movie cameras is required.

For Staff Car Drivers (BPS-04) primary pass civilians and Ex-Servicemen / Retired Armed Forces with LTV / HTV Driving License can apply. Intelligence Bureau - IB Pakistan requires 73 Non-Combatants (NC) (BPS-01), a Cook & Bahishti with primary pass or higher qualification.

National Testing Service (NTS) Pakistan has uploaded Intelligence Bureau application forms on NTS Website http://www.nts.org.pk with deposit slips. Please download NTS application form and submit the deposit fee in the country-wide branches of ABL, UBL, HBL & MCB. The last date for application submission will be Tuesday 31-March-2015. NTS will announce Written Test / Examination date soon.
